New York City, February 24, 2025–The World Teleport Association (WTA) today announced that 2025 Teleport Executive of the Year Award wil go to Adam Godwin, Head of Satellite at Telstra International. They also announced the finalists for its 2025 Teleport Awards for Excellence. From this group of finalists, WTA will name the winners at the 30th annual Teleport Awards for Excellence Luncheon, hosted by Network Innovations Advanced Networks, neXat and Calian, on March 11 during the SATELLITE conference in Washington, DC.

Ashevile, N.C., February 9, 2025--On February 7, 2025, the satellite industry lost an industry pioneer and innovator, Jim Oliver, Founder and CEO of Asheville, NC-based satellite equipment manufacturer AvL Technologies. Jim was inducted into the  Space and Satellite Hall of Fame in 2021, for his life work as a mentor, innovative design engineer and successful entrepreneur.
