"Dr. Nongluck,” as she is fondly called, joins the board of directors of the Society of Satellite Professionals International  in March 2011.  She spoke with SSPI Director of Development Lou Zacharilla on various issues, among which, one of her areas of focus on behalf of the international satellite community will be to further promote corporate social responsibility and enable more broadband service via satellite throughout the developing economies of Asia.

Interview with Gazprom Space Systems' Director-General Dmitry Sevastiyanov

Russia-based satellite operator Gazprom Space Systems has plans to expand into the international markets. Backed by one of the world’s largest energy companies and one of Russia’s biggest banks, Gazprom is leveraging its unique pedigree to become one of the world’s major satellite companies. Satellite Markets and Research spoke with Gazprom’s Director-General Dmitry Sevastiyanov on their plans and whats in store for the company in the near future. Excerpts of the interview follows.

Martin Coleman Gets a Lifetime Acheivement Award at the SSGS Conference

IMG_1424.jpegLondon, UK, October 16, 2025 -- At the Strategies in Satellite Ground Systems (SSGS) conference in London, this month, Martin Coleman, was given a Lifetime Achievement Award, recognizing his “Outstanding Contribution to Combatting the Costly Problem of Satellite Radio Frequency Interference.”  As a largely unpaid volunteer, Martin has accomplished something that few others have been able to achieve.
